Cervo Mountain Resort: Our wellness tip in Zermatt

The Hotel Cervo Mountain Resort in Zermatt is a real gem in the Swiss Alps. With its luxurious facilities and breathtaking location right at the foot of the Matterhorn, it is the perfect place for anyone looking to relax and unwind in unique surroundings.

We visited the hotel in late summer after our tour of Puglia and were able to enjoy the green mountains, mild mountain air and beautiful scenery to the full.

Cervo: cozy and modern

The hotel impresses with its modern architecture, which blends harmoniously into the landscape. The entrance area with the oriental restaurant “Bazaar”, its open fireplace and the cozy seating area invites you to linger and gives you a taste of the luxurious atmosphere that prevails throughout the hotel.

Breakfast in the Bazaar restaurant

Breakfast is also served in the Bazaar restaurant. We had a fantastic shakshuka: a hearty dish of poached eggs in a sauce of tomatoes, chili peppers and onions. As an alternative to the menu, there is also an extensive breakfast buffet.

Dinner at Madre Nostra

From the Bazaar restaurant and the entrance area, you can also access the hotel’s other facilities, such as the wellness area with sauna, steam bath and massage services, the “Madre Nostra” restaurant with gourmet cuisine and the bar with a wide selection of drinks and snacks.

We had a great dinner at Madre Nostra – right on the huge sun terrace with a view of the Matterhorn.

Nomad room with a view

We had a room from the Nomad by Cervo category with its own balcony and a great view of the mountains. The sauna and wellness area was very close by.

Our room was cozy and at the same time very modern. Everything was lovingly decorated, lots of wood, an open bathroom and a large shower.

The rooms and suites at the Cervo Mountain Resort are all individually furnished and offer all the comfort you could wish for. Particularly noteworthy are the exclusive spa suites, which also have their own whirlpool.

Wellness area at the Cervo Hotel

Unfortunately, the wellness area was still under construction during our stay. The sounds of construction machinery could clearly be heard in the beautiful sauna. However, this was only a snapshot and will probably no longer be the case today.

Activities in summer and winter

Even though we were there in summer, winter sports enthusiasts will get their money’s worth here, as the hotel is located in the immediate vicinity of the ski slopes and offers access to a huge ski area with a variety of slopes for all levels.

For those who want to take it a little easier, there is also the option of exploring the surrounding countryside on cross-country skis or taking a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride through the snow-covered landscape.

But there is also plenty to discover in summer at the Hotel Nomad by Cervo. Hiking, mountain biking, horse riding – the possibilities are almost endless. Regular events such as concerts, wine tastings and cookery courses also provide variety.

Roof terrace with pool

A special highlight of the Cervo Mountain Resort is without doubt the roof terrace with its infinity pool. From here, you have a breathtaking view of the Matterhorn and the surrounding mountains. The pool itself is heated and therefore offers relaxation even on cooler days.

Our conclusion about the Cervo Mountain Resort

The Hotel Nomad by Cervo in Zermatt is a luxurious ski and wellness hotel that leaves nothing to be desired. The prime location at the foot of the Matterhorn, the comfortable accommodation and the wide range of leisure activities make it the perfect place for an unforgettable winter vacation.

But the hotel also offers an oasis of relaxation and recreation in summer with its numerous activities and excellent service. The infinity pool on the roof terrace is just one of the many highlights that the Cervo Mountain Resort has to offer.
